Sulla parzialita' delle banche dati per citazioni (WoS e Scopus)
E' ormai lampante che l'incompletezza delle banche dati decise a livello nazionale per le valutazioni dei docenti e delle strutture accademiche, stia danneggiando il settore informatico, cosi' come sta inducendo comportamenti tendenti a privilegiare target di pubblicazione decisi dai gestori privati di tali banche dati, svilendo spesso target scientificamente elevati.
Il problema e' ormai molto caldo anche a livello internazinale come testimonaito dal seguente articolo

Di seguito un estratto significativo
"ACM, Scopus, and WoS must develop better reference-parsing technology to fix the significant undercitation in their databases. Due to the variations in undercitation, the ACM DL, Scopus, and WoS, and even combinations thereof, are unreliable information sources for the most commonly used citation-based metrics in CS. Moreover, Scopus and WoS databases reflect a significant bias against covered conference proceedings, resulting in underestimation of their impact."
